Minotel features well cared for, family owned and managed hotels at a great price.

My first experience with Minotel was some 15 years ago after researching many options for a vacation with my family. I believe what impressed me the most was the small hotel, family owned and operated concept. The hotel group has expanded it's properties since I first stayed at their hotels with now over 200 properties in 31 countries.

Payment was handled via voucher prepaid before I left for Europe. So it was easy to set a budget as much of the costs were prepaid. In some cities however, there were additional small daily surcharge paid on check out.

I found many centrally located or if you prefer properties outside the hassle of city life. I've stayed in the heart of a major city within walking distance from the rail station and in small ski towns in a chalet type hotel. Never had a bad stay and in some cases very surprised and delighted by the up scaled accommodations.

Hotel Specials - You may pay by credit card or pre-pay voucher which in some cases offers both a discount and stay three night and get one of those nights free in participating  hotels.

Minotel's reservation system is online and also offers helpful tools called Travelers toolbox which offers weather, train schedules, currency conversion, and world clock.
